A HOT DATE, that is =P.
So. Some time on Friday morning i woke up with 2 tickets to 8TV Summer Concert in my hand. Me thought that it might be a sign from the higher powers that's prodding me to find a date (turned out 'higher powers' is just my mom.. who grabbed the tickets from her colleague), so i SMSed the first person that came to my mind. Which happened to be a girl. O.o
Parents even offered to pick her up to the concert and send her back. Bet they just want more time to check out their 'potential' daughter-in-law. Evil evil parents. Blek. Dropped me and her at Danga Bay at 7pm. Concert's only starting at 8pm. 1 hour to kill, so we took a romantic walk stroll around the Festive Mall.
So there we were, walking next to each other amidst thousands of people. I kinda like that feeling of being left alone in a crowded place, just me and that someone. Made it feel like we're in a world of our own, and no one cares bout what we're doing. If only gay couples would have the same 'privilege'. Sigh.
From 8.30pm to 12am, more than a dozen artistes came onstage and sang a couple of songs each. Much like many many mini-concerts crammed into one night. But even though i've never been to any concert before, i still find the crowd a bit subdued when certain artistes came on. Ah well, at least we still enjoyed ourselves. Love Nicholas Teo and JJ Lin's songs.. everyone just sang along with them, even me and her O.o
The finale that ended the concert was a display of fireworks. Frankly, i've never seen fireworks from so near.. i was always watching from somewhere far away. And man.. it was damn nice. We stood there with our faces skyward just staring and staring. No wonder they say watching fireworks with that special someone is romantic.. it really felt romantic..
And slowly, amidst the noisy cheers and bright fireworks.. my hand found hers. And we stood there, hand in hand, big smiles on our faces.. just enjoying the beautiful display.. and each other's company..
Haha. Kidding bout the last part of course. I'm still 100% not-so-straight =P. Much as i like her, i'm never gonna be in love with her. Firstly, because, what the heck, i'm GAY.
And secondly.. ooh. I'm already in love with a particular piggie somewhere =P
ps. piggie - me and her are just friends! really! please don't turn into MJBM? please..? i pwomise i be good..
