Let's see. Nothing really worth mentioning here i guess. Rather hard for one to keep two blogs at the same time haha. Though both exists for totally different reasons, still, both has become rather similar now.
Chinese New Year. That time of the year. Always hear other (single/not-so-single) people complaining bout relatives asking them THE question. Funny thing, the most i've been asked that most-hated-by-singles question is a few times in my whole life, though yes, it's during chinese new year. But it has stopped coming for a few years now. Maybe all of them already knew bout me? I don't know, but i know at least 2 cousins and 2 cousins-in-law do. At least. Who knows how fast will news of dirty laundry spread actually?
Apparently, really fast. When it comes to mothers and daughters. Haha.
It started with my cousin who somehow knew bout it. Then she told her mum and aunt. Then the aunt told my parents. Then my parents ask the cousin and her mum. Then my cousin-in-law who happened to be there heard it.
Who knows how far it'll spread, eh? Hehe. Serious as the incident was, my parents and cousins and aunts were making jokes bout it. Trust them to be able to find humour in any bad news. Which isn't really a bad thing :P
Didn't want to elaborate on the incident itself since i don't know much, but maybe i should write a word or two on it here. This is supposed to be my 'anonymous' blog anyway. Hah.
This be a dark tale with no happy ending.
Once upon a time there was a girl and her husband and a friend of his. This friend had been there for him all years, he was even there to help 'break through' his bride's door on his wedding day. Good friends, they were.
Then came an idea to start a restaurant somewhere in the middle of nowhere. The risks are high, but the three of them chipped in anyway. For good or bad, they were together, that's what matters.
And the restaurant flourished under a great cook and the supervision of the friend. The couple relinquished the running to the friend, trusting him to take care of it. Of course, having a share in the restaurant means they get a chunk of the profit as well.
Then one day, someone in the restaurant told the couple of news, dark news that never ever could occur to this naive couple.
The whole restaurant had switched hands, and they were told to remove whatever's still in their possession inside to make way for the 'new' restaurant.
Thing is, they didn't even realise the name of the restaurant had been changed until that someone inside told them.
Perhaps they were to blame, for sitting back and letting the others do the hard work. Perhaps they trusted the friend too much. Perhaps the girl was too naive to have sold her shares to the friend's father.
They were shocked, anguished a friend could do such things to them. They lost the restaurant, but worst of all, they lost a friend.
What were friends, now were enemies.
Money is the root of all evil, init?

Or perhaps naturally, there just are some VERY bad friends out there.
Money isn't the root of evil. People are the root of all evil. You can leave the cash there and nothing happens. Add people to the equation and well - you see.
