Guess i'm the last to post this, eh? Hehe. Not that it really matters.
Feb 14 has passed me by like any other day. Stuck here in my hometown ever since holidays started. The BF wanted to drive all the way down a few days earlier to celebrate with me. So sweet of him but i told him we'll just celebrate next week. Will be a big waste of time and money for him to drive all the way down just for a few hours of overpriced dinner and lovely time together. 'sides, i'm trying not to aggravate the situation with my parents. A week i could wait if that's what damage control's gonna take. So sorry to disappoint the BF. Sigh.
Not that i'm a victim of all that commercialisation. I don't truly believe we should show our loved ones how much we care on Valentine's Day just because.. well, just because it's Valentine's Day and everyone else's doing it? If we truly love somebody, there won't be a 'Valentine's Day' .. we will show him/her our love everyday, no?
Reading back on my post last year.. realised my wish came true after all hehe. Finally am in a relationship, more than 6 months now. A lovely, romantic, hot and fabulous boyfriend. Always make me smile, surprise me with romantic gestures. Couldn't ask for more even if i tried =)
Everyone has a different perspective when it comes to love. To quote from a drama series on TV, love is happiness. A feeling of bliss and warmth, just by being around someone. The way your lips break into a smile everytime you think of him. When you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowing someone out there cares about you, that's love.
For me, i can't say i've found out exactly the meaning of love. But i do realise that it doesn't take much for me to be happy. I don't ask for much, no need expensive gifts, no need 99% of his time, no need romantic gestures. I just needed him to be there for me, and for me to be there. To cuddle with during a cold, rainy storm. To look at my reflection in his eyes, his smile reflecting mine. To stare at the stars at night, without saying a word, for the language of love isn't spoken.
You just know what is love.
It's been more than 6 months. Everyday we learn more about each other. The journey may be rough at times, but we braved thru it all together. I know we both aren't perfect, but i'm no idealist. I'm just a simple boy, living a simple life, content with a simple love.
I love you and you love me. That's all it ever gonna take.
Happy Valentine's Day dear.
